The International Caravanning Association is a club with members worldwide which wishes to encourage caravanning (both caravans and Motorhomes/RVs) by assisting peoples of the world to a better understanding of one another through caravanning; to encourage international caravanning in all parts of the world by all nationalities; to promote and facilitate the interchange of knowledge, ideas and experience of caravanning throughout the world; to organise events whereby international caravanning may be facilitated; to promote and encourage a high standard of caravanning in all parts of the world and to do all such lawful things as may be conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
Our membership stretches across the world – Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Japan, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and the United States. Our membership is kept in touch by our bi-monthly magazine ICA News.
It was at an informal gathering for a coffee morning followed by lunch on Tuesday 20th October 2009 enjoyed by 22 members of ICA at the Canford Magna Golf Club, Dorset in the future.
The occasion was to greet Max and Kimiyo Hagiwara from Japan. They have been members of ICA for thirteen years. They are also founder members of the Japanese Auto Camping Club and belong to the FICC.
Jean and Jack Goodman, Ted and Christine Carter were honoured to be sitting at top table with our guests and enjoyed their company immensely.

Max and Kimiyo were in the UK for two weeks on business and had made a request to the Council of Management that they be given the opportunity of meeting some ICA members. Kimiyo assured us her English (which was excellent anyway) had improved more in her three day stay with Joan and Malcolm Kelham than the whole of the preceding week of English tuition.
It was a memorable occasion greatly enjoyed by both local members and our visitors.
Our members organise and run all events run by the Association using their knowledge of the area or by the knowledge of local members in the area being visited. This makes the costs of our events lower than that of many other organisations.
